The Planets This Week – 11/4

It’s a slow news week, as in, not much new is happening. Mercury is still going retrograde in Tropical Scorpio and will sextile Pluto this weekend, bringing in an opportunity to reveal hard truths and expose deep, long-buried secrets. Since little Pluto is in Capricorn (making a big impact last month with a T-Square to the full moon), these secrets may have to do with government or corporations on the world stage. In our personal lives, this may have to do with secrets at work. For some people, this has happened already. I’ve noticed mergers and layoffs were announced for some people as soon as Mercury started appearing to move backwards.
Venus is now in Sagittarius, and for those of you born in early mutable signs (the last week to ten days of May, August, November, or February), you may have felt changes in your love-life or appearances. Since Mercury is also retrograde, now is not a good time for the aforementioned people to make major purchases or make major changes to their appearance, so hold off on those bangs!
Mars is still in Libra, Jupiter is trucking through Sagittarius, about to transition into Capricorn at the beginning of next month, and Saturn and Pluto are moving direct through Cap, readying themselves for their grand conjunction next year.
This week, the moon is a waxing gibbous, starting Monday squaring the sun and ending the week in Taurus, where it’s about to go full (more on that later in the week). Uranus and Neptune are retrograde in Taurus and Pisces respectively, not aspecting each other. Mercury won’t aspect Uranus at all during its Retrograde and will trine Neptune at the end, where it will also sextile Saturn before going direct. Again, this will be in a couple weeks, so we’ll get to it when we get to it.
The people who need to watch out this week are people who were born in the last part of fixed signs, particularly Scorpio, since Mercury will make hard aspects to your suns. Next week, the people born in the middle of fixed signs will be feeling the impacts of the retrograde. For more information on how to get through this month, check out my Mercury Retrograde Survival Guide.
Anyway, check in later in the week or early next week for the full moon forecast. Until then, I hope you’re hanging in there this retrograde!
